Bronze Mermaid Coin Pendant

This piece was inspired by old Aztec gold, lost at the bottom of the sea. I imagined this piece strung with beach glass, smooth, tumbled stones, bits of coral and knotted linen. It would also look fantastic with chain and faceted crystals, or a simple ribbon.

This substantial pendant is made of pure bronze, from a hand carved mold. The pendant features hallmarks of a handmade item: fingerprints impressed into the back, little cracks and crevaces - not defects, but marks left to replicate ancient coins.
