Bronze Rain Frog Coin Pendant

This is a new carving I just finished. I haven't carved a frog since my garden art days when it seemed like all I made was frogs and toads. I had forgotten how satisfying the shape of a frog is to carve. Not to mention how fun it is to carve all the bumps!

Symbolically, frogs represent transformation, born from water, changing from an aquatic creature to one emerging to land. In Asian countries, particularly Japan, frogs are given to those going on a journey, for protection against accidents.

This frog is a rain frog, a curious creature that has an amazing ability to survive in a harsh climate, by holding onto lots of water.

This pendant is made one at a time from bronze. This listing is for one piece.

Note: All of our items are hand crafted from the finest materials available. It is our wish to create goods that will last several lifetimes and be cherished by our great grand kids!
