Pewter Lotus Blossom Glass Capsule Pendant Set

This set is inspired by the necklace in my book Enchanted Adornments. I commissioned a friend to hand blow the glass capsules from borosilicate glass (the same stuff Pyrex is made from) so I could make caps to fit over the 6.5mm holes. I designed them to be filled with tiny precious objects, drawings, ashes, glitter, threads or even water ( if sealed with aquarium silicone) and wire wrapped with a few inches of 22-24 ga wire. After the capsule is filled, I put a little E6000 under the caps and around the wire to keep the tiny things from escaping. The first and last picture is an example of a finished pendant, featuring a small sketch and little stones. The butterfly is printed on clear acetate and cut out and slightly curled to fit in the hole.

Note: All of our items are hand crafted from the finest materials available. It is our wish to create goods that will last several lifetimes and be cherished by our great grand kids! Also be aware that each piece is made by hand, meaning little differences may occur, like a tiny air bubble or seam line may be visible. These variances should not be viewed as flaws, but as evidence they are a handmade product.

This set includes 2 pewter bead caps and one handmade glass capsule, all the wire and other bits are not in this listing. The capsules vary a bit but are about an inch long. Thanks for looking!
